Winslow Community Cupboard food pantry is due to benefit from a Drive-in Laser Show & Concert scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, May 18-21, at the Clinton Fairgrounds, 1450 Bangor Road.
The pantry serves thousands of food-insecure children, seniors, and other adults from Winslow, Waterville, Skowhegan, Fairfield and 20 other surrounding towns.
Each evening gates will open at 5, 8 and 9:30 p.m. Shows are scheduled for 7, 9 and 10:30 p.m.
The family-friendly event will feature musical hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and beyond, as well as current hits. All songs are choreographed with cutting-edge effects, high-powered lasers, and large screen laser projection, according to a news release from Bruce Bottiglierie, food pantry operations manager.
Vendors and food will be on the fairgrounds, and there will be an exclusive infield seating area; people should bring their own chairs and blankets.
To assure admission, ordering tickets in advance is suggested. The cost is $29 per entire carload when tickets are purchased in advance. The cost is $39 per carload at the gate.
