The event, which drew more than 400 children and adults, is held to remember Cassidy Charette, an Oakland teenager who died in a hayride accident in 2014. Children dressed in pajamas for the event to welcome 11 newborn baby goats. Attendees also learned how to spin wool, gather eggs and milk cows. New this year, children helped name the new babies. Attendees brought a “shower gift” of pet items to be donated in memory of Cassidy Charette to the Humane Society Waterville Area.
