STRONG — Voters at Saturday’s annual Town Meeting will decide whether to have Franklin County and the town of Avon provide firefighting services.
It is one of 41 articles on the warrant, which will be acted on starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Forster Memorial Building at 14 Main St.
Elections will be held Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the same location.
Other articles voters will consider include how much money to raise and appropriate for the Strong Community Events Account and whether to have leftover balances in the protection accounts put in the Firetruck Reserve Account at the end of the year.
There are eight candidates for office on Friday’s ballot, all uncontested:
• David Catino and Joel Doyon for selectmen for three years.
• Rebecca Croteau and Jessie Stinchfield for Maine School Administrative District 58 directors for three years
• Susan Pratt for Maine School Administrative District 58 director for one year
• Rodney Cook, Lawrence Curtis and Alan Smith for the Budget Committee for six years
