“Can’t we all just get along and get this state back on track?” That’s an all-too-common refrain I’ve heard this year. Yes, the majority of folks I’ve spoken with have voiced concerns; mostly about the state of our economy, but also the state of government today. Divisive politics have made many believe their vote doesn’t matter.
Having served 10 years in the Legislature, I must say, I disagree. Everyone’s vote matters. What makes our country truly great is the ability for each and every one of us to express our views at the ballot box.
It has been an honor to serve the people of Maine. I am looking forward to going back to work for the residents of Augusta, China, Sidney, Vassalboro (and now Belgrade and Mount Vernon) to bring common-sense solutions to our most pressing issues, while doing my part to help bring us together and move Maine forward!
