Skowhegan Community Partners, a group of adults coming together to work on teen mental health issues and suicide prevention, hosted a Pizza with a Purpose event Sept. 22 to promote awareness and prevention of suicide and teen mental health.
The event included informational tables, a therapy dog, drumming, a disc jockey, and bulbs for yellow tulips to help start a hope garden, according to a news release from group member Maureen Calder.
Youths can talk to a local school counselor, trusted teacher or friend.
