SOMERVILLE — People can celebrate the harvest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, during a festival at Pumpkin Vine Family Farm, 217 Hewett Road.

Attendees can find a jack o’ lantern, orange or white, then press a glass of apple cider. They can watch spinning and weaving demonstrations throughout the day and learn about natural dyes at 1 p.m. in a presentation by Skirt of Leaves Fiber Studio, according to a news release from farm owner Kelly Payson-Roopchand.

Children can play a pumpkin ring toss, try to shoot the apple blaster, and make a multi-colored corn bracelet. There also will be a Farmer Photobooth, where people can dress up in farmer outfits and pose on the decorated hay wagon.

People should bring walking shoes and a camera to take a fall foliage hike around the farm.

Admission is free; donations are accepted.

In case of rain, check Facebook to see if the event is still on.
