Most Kennebec Journal readers have probably voted for county commissioners many times over the years, but here’s a question: What qualities make a good county commissioner?
Here’s my list: an ability to listen; experience in creating and managing municipal and governmental budgets; an understanding of what it is like to pay property taxes in an inflationary time; a willingness to think outside of the box when it comes to improving the quality of life of area residents; a love for central Maine.
I know from personal experience that Charlotte Warren has all of these qualities. She is running for Kennebec County commissioner from District 2, encompassing 14 towns from Fayette to Winthrop to Litchfield to Gardiner to Pittston. Please consider giving her your vote.
