TURNER  — Holden McKenney scored a pair of goals to lead the Erskine Academy boys soccer team to a 5-2 win over Leavitt on Thursday.

Erskine (4-3) hopped out to a 3-0 lead by halftime. Sam Boynton, Noah Crummett and Jaxson Roderick each scored a goal, while Crummett also collected an assist.

Logan Berube scored both goals for Leavitt (1-7), with Brayden Greenlaw picking up two assists.

 

LISBON 1, CARRABEC 0: Nick Powell’s goal off a direct kick from 20 yards out lifted the Greyhounds (7-0-1) past the Cobras (2-5) in Lisbon.

Levi Tibbetts made 10 saves on goal for Lisbon, which outshot Carrabec 18-10.

MT. ABRAM 13, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN/DIRIGO 0: Sam Cockerham and Killian Pillsbury had hat tricks as the Roadrunners (7-1) dominated Spruce Mountain/Dirigo (2-7) in Salem Township.

Jose Torres scored twice for Mt. Abram, while Morgan Thibodeau, Kaden Pillsbury, Tre’ Pease, Tucker Plouffe and Ash Rollins also found the back of the net. Kaden Pillsbury hd three assists, while Thibideau and Harrison Thomas had two apiece.

Logan Knight made 14 saves in net for Spruce Mountain/Dirigo; Trey Reed and Logan Dube made one apiece for Mt. Abram.

 

WINTHROP 4, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Gabe Corey had two goals and an assist as the Ramblers (4-4) defeated the Falcons (1-5-1).

Tyler Shumway and Iker Penniman also scored for Winthrop, while keeper Jaxon August made fice saves. Mountain Valley’s Zach New stopped nine shots.

 

MT. BLUE 2, SKOWHEGAN 1: Levi Bogar blasted free kick to lift the Cougars (4-4-1) to a victory over the River Hawks (0-6-1) 19 seconds into overtime in Farmington.

Skowhegan struck first with a Sam Steeves unassisted goal five minutes into the game. JJ Greenlaw also picked up an assist along the way.

Thomas Cormier tied the game five minutes into the second half. Winning goalie Chase Ranger made seven saves, and his Skowhegan counterpart, Ryan Donoghue made nine.

 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

 

MESSALONSKEE 3, NOKOMIS 0: The Eagles swept the Warriors by scores of 25-10, 26-24 and 25-14 on Wednesday in Oakland. Candace Pelotte had 5 kills, nine digs and and ace for Messalonskee, while teammate Kyra Cummings added five kills, nine aces and six digs.
