Q&A

1) Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
There are many aspects to serving as a state representative. Overall, success to me means representing the people of Augusta with attention, seriousness and integrity. More specifically, I will continue to make my time in the Legislature successful by introducing and voting on well thought out laws that will improve the trajectory of our state.

From a constituent standpoint, success is my continued engagement with community members to assist them with problems and questions.

2) Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
Public access allows for transparency. The current Freedom of Information Act that applies to many federal records is appropriate and adequate, in my view. Maine’s Freedom of Access Actw also seems to provide sufficient oversight on this topic.
