“Morning After Grace” by Carey Crim will be staged Sept. 16-25 at The Public Theatre, 31 Maple St. in Lewiston.

Three aging baby boomers (who could swear they are still in their 40s) tackle the topics of love, loss, sex, aging parents and medical marijuana munchies in this heartfelt new comedy. After flirting at a funeral, Abigail and Angus wake up the next morning under the same blanket. When a neighbor suddenly knocks on the door, all bets are off for a peaceful retirement and these three strangers enter each other’s lives in unexpected and invaluable ways.

This humorous comic-drama explores what it feels like to begin a new chapter in life and proves that growing older doesn’t mean the end of living and learning. In fact, sometimes we save the best part for last.

Performance are set for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24; 2 p.m. Sept. 18 and 25; and 3 p.m. Sept. 25.

Ticket cost $25 for adults, $20 for students with ID, and $10 for children 4-18.
