Clarinet trio Trioli will perform at the Oasis of Music on beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Trinity Church in Lewiston. Trioli will present a varied program they are calling “A Clarinet Potpourri.”
Members are David Collier, Beth Whitney and Greg Anderson. Collier is a local music educator who has taught for more than 35 years. He is presently the Director of the Hallowell Community Band and teaches flute, clarinet and saxophone at his studio in Topsham. Whitney retired from a 34-year career as a music teacher in 2015. In her past, she spent four years in the USAF performing on clarinet with the Air Force Band of the East. She currently lives in Alna and enjoys playing with her clarinet friends in several local ensembles. Anderson lives in Litchfield. Aside from Trioli and Accidental, he plays with various chamber ensembles and community bands. Now retired, he taught biology labs at Bates College for 35 years.
Trinity Church is located at 247 Bates St., Lewiston. The Oasis of Music is a weekly music series of performances of roughly thirty minutes, running from September to May. Admission is free, with donations accepted. The musical genres vary greatly, in largely, but not exclusively, acoustic formats.
