SKOWHEGAN — Authorities searched two apartments in Skowhegan on Monday as part of an investigation into the armed robbery of a Fairfield convenience store, Fairfield police said.
Search warrants were obtained for the apartments at 33 West Front St. in Skowhegan and officers seized evidence, according to a news release issued late Monday by Fairfield police.
The release didn’t specify what was seized, who lived in the apartments or if those residents are believed to be suspects in the robbery of the Circle K store early Friday at 149 Norridgewock Road.
Joining Fairfield officers in the search Monday were Skowhegan police, Maine State Police, Waterville police, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
No other information was provided. The investigation is continuing.
