I have had the privilege when driving Dan Shagoury as he goes door to door, of seeing him engage with voters. I’ve seen him listen to their concerns, offer his own thoughts and make notes when appropriate. As people lament about the magnitude of unaddressed problems, he wlll say, “That is why I am running for office.” Dan wants to be part of the solution and fortunately for this district, he knows the inner workings of state government, the legislative process, budget making as well as how to work collaboratively. Because he worked as a legislative staffer for the past 19 years, he is ready to tackle the toughest issues facing our state on day one.
Knowing Dan personally and professionally for over 25 years, I have seen him work tirelessly on the school board and for the Hubbard Free Library. Dan is a person of great integrity and is well-respected, responsive, intelligent and hardworking. For each of these reasons, I will enthusiastically vote for Dan on June 14 and hope you will do the same.
