I’m writing today because I am running for county commissioner and I’m asking for your vote on June 14.

If you are a registered Democrat in Farmingdale, Fayette, Gardiner, Hallowell, Litchfield, Monmouth, Mount Vernon, Pittston, Randolph, Readfield, Vienna, Wayne, West Gardiner, and Winthrop, I’ll be on your ballot.

I love central Maine — the people and the place. Born and raised on a farm in Pittston, I have happily lived here my entire life. I’ve served on the Planning Board, City Council, as mayor, and state legislator. I’m a board member of many local nonprofits. I am a teacher and a small business owner.

I am running to help make Kennebec County government a partner, and on appropriate occasions a leader, in the ongoing work to make our home more just, more compassionate, and more cooperative. I support regional efforts to establish trails, promote downtowns, and save taxpayer dollars through regional services.
