Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area is planning its Hope’s Place Healing Garden Workshop Series for grieving children and teens at 304 Main St., in Waterville, according to a news release from the nonprofit organization.

• Memorial Garden Creations! is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.
In the hospice healing garden, participants can learn about memorial gardens and build a birdbath or design and paint a stepping stone to add to their garden or home. Children and teens will leave with an alyssum flower to plant. Our Hope’s Place volunteers will guide participants through their workshop experience.

• What to Expect When Your Child or Teen is Grieving is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13.
This open discussion workshop focuses on what to expect and ways to help children and teens cope with grief. It is offered to anyone that has a grieving child or teen in their life. The interactive workshop will be led by Hope’s Place consultant and mental health counselor, Donnajean Pohlman, and Jillian Roy, Hope’s Place coordinator.

• Healing through Mosaics is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24.
This healing arts activity gives children and teens the opportunity to honor a loved one’s memory and helps to express feelings of grief and loss while creating a mosaic memory box or wall hanging. The workshop will be facilitated by professional glass artist Lucie Boucher. For more information about Boucher, visit stoneridgeglass.com.
