SOUTH CHINA — Mackenzie Toner had a triple and a double to lead Erskine Academy past Waterville 16-5 in softball action Monday.
Kenzie Kutniewski added a triple and a single for Erskine (3-9) while Hannah Huff and Abby Dutton each doubled and singled. Huff earned the win in the circle.
Camile Woodbury had two singles for Waterville (4-9) while Denelle Eldridge doubled.

SKOWHEGAN 16, LEWISTON 2, 5 INNINGS: The River Hawks scored nine runs in the first inning en route to a mercy-rule victory over the Blue Devils in Skowhegan.
Sierra Carey (two triples, two singles), Annabelle Morris (two doubles, single), Emily Dunbar (two singles), Callaway LePage (two singles) and Lilly Noyes (two singles) all had multiple hits for Skowhegan. Carey was also the winning pitcher for the River Hawks (12-1) in the circle.
Morgan Brown had a triple for Lewiston, and Madison Anderson added a double. Brooklyn Mynahan took the loss for the Blue Devils (3-9).

EDWARD LITTLE 12, MESSALONSKEE 7: Izzy Jalbert and Alexis Kelsea each had three hits, and Leah Thibodeau got the win inside the circle as the Red Eddies topped the Eagles in Auburn.
In the second inning, the Red Eddies (7-7) scored seven runs on six hits. The Eagles responded with six runs on five hits.
In the bottom of the fourth, Jalbert doubled and courtesy runner Kenzie Emmert scored on an RBI single by Maddy Scott to give the Eddies the insurance run they needed to take a 8-6 lead. Jordan Lambert reached on an error and scored to bring the Eagles (3-10) within one at 8-7 in the fifth. The Eddies scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
The Red Eddies’ pitching staff of Thibodeau, Kassidy Lobb (two hits, three RBIs), and Maddy Scott (save) combined for a six-hitter with seven strikeouts.

BUCKFIELD 5, WINTHROP 3: McKenna Ridlon hit a triple and a double and drove in four runs as the Bucks won in Buckfield.
Carmen Crockett drove in the other Buckfield (6-7) run with a solo home run in the second inning. Winthrop cut the deficit to 2-1 in the top of the sixth before the Bucks added three in the bottom half.
Emma Stevens-Belanger and Crockett combined to pitch a five-hitter for Buckfield, with Ridlon catching for both pitchers.
Ella Rice had three hits and two RBIs for the Ramblers, and Maddie Perkins collected the other two hits for Winthrop (7-6).

OAK HILL 9, DIRIGO 5: Madison Drew collected three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as the Raiders jumped ahead early and held off the Cougars’ late charge in Dixfield.
Oak Hill (7-5) scored five runs in the second inning to seize control, then scored three runs in the top of the seventh after Dirigo scored five runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings.
Grace Robbins had two of Dirigo’s nine hits and drove in two runs. She also struck out nine batters in the circle for the Cougars (4-9) while allowing just one earned run and seven hits in seven innings.

MESSALONSKEE 9, EDWARD LITTLE 6: The Eagles were able to hold off the charging Red Eddies in Auburn.
Edward Little scored three runs in the seventh inning but couldn’t catch up to Messalonskee (8-5) as Jacob Love earned the win on the mound for the Eagles.
Drew Smith tallied four hits, including a double, for Edward Little (6-8).
Messalonskee’s Joe Ardito and Mitchell Grant both hit doubles.

SKOWHEGAN 16, LEWISTON 1, 5 INNINGS: The River Hawks exploded for their highest scoring output of the season to top the Blue Devils in a Class A North showdown in Skowhegan.
Skowhegan (7-6) got three singles from Chance Tibbetts, two singles from Hunter McEwen and a double from Jackson Quinn. Ben Morgan got the win on the mound for the River Hawks.
For Lewiston (5-8), Michael Caron smacked a double, and Joseph Dube took the loss.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 2, MADISON 0: Kyle Palleschi struck out eight batters while pitching a one-hit shutout in the Mustangs’ win over the Bulldogs in Monmouth.
Hayden Fletcher had a pair of hits in the win for Monmouth (11-2).
Hunter Tewksbury had the lone hit for Madison (6-8). Jack Theriault allowed five hits and struck out five in the loss.

MT. ABRAM 7, HALL-DALE 2: The Roadrunners (10-2) used a three-run fifth inning to pull away and overpower the Bulldogs (7-6) in Salem.
Mt. Abram’s Ian Allen jump-started the offense when he singled and brought in a run in the second inning.
Singles by Allen, Trevor Phelps and Tucker Plouffee helped bring these three runs across in the fifth inning. Phelps was the winning pitcher, striking out six and giving up one hit. Adam Luce pitched three innings of relief for the Roadrunners.
Cody DuPont was the losing pitcher for Hall-Dale, which had three hits on the afternoon at the plate.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7, CARRABEC 0: Lucas Towers smacked two home runs, and three Phoenix (8-5) pitchers shut out the Cobras (2-11) in Livermore Falls.
Towers hit a solo shot in the third and two-run blast in the fifth. Reece Davis also had two hits for Spruce Mountain and Nate Holland hit a double. Griffin Achorn, Elie Timler and Eli Moffett combined on the shutout.
Luke Carey had two of Carrabec’s three hits, and also pitched the first three innings, surrendering two runs.

CONY 13, ERSKINE 4: Dinah Wadleigh had a hat trick to spark the Rams in South China.
Azabell Assaf, Raegan Bechard and Maci Freeman each added two goals for Cony (8-1). Andrea Richardson, Sierra Prebit and Isabella Smith also scored. Madison Chaverie made seven saves.
Sarah Praul scored all four goals for the Eagles (3-6) while Emma Henderson stopped 10 shots.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 16, MCI/NOKOMIS 5: Marley LeBel had six goals and one assist to lead the Eagles (6-2) over the Warr Dogs (0-10) in Newcastle.
Dakota Gregory added four goals and an assist for Lincoln Academy, and Mariam Delisle scored three goals. Abbie Brinkler had four saves in net.
