SKOWHEGAN — Sierra Carey had three hits and pitched five perfect innings to lead the Skowhegan softball team to a 23-0 win over Mt. Blue in five innings in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game on Saturday.
Carey struck out eight in the circle in addition to collecting three singles for the River Hawks (3-0). Jaycie Christopher had a double and two singles, Riley Fitzpatrick had two hits, and Emily Dunbar, Carlie Jarvais and Annabelle Morris had doubles.
Mt. Blue falls to 0-3.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 5, OAK HILL 0: Brooklyn Federico struck out 10 and only allowed two hits in the Mustangs’ (3-0) win over the Raiders (1-2) in Wales.
After score one run each in the top of the third and top of the sixth, Monmouth scored three times in the seventh inning.
Rileigh Chase had two hits and two RBIs for the Mustangs while June Voit had two hits and a RBI.
Pitcher Kelsey Young had a double for Oak Hill.

MARANACOOK 7, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3: Six runs in the bottom of the sixth lifted the Black Bears to the KVAC victory in Readfield.
Grace Dwyer doubled and Allie LaBelle had a single during the inning, and Shylah Woodford drove in a run. Alexis Michaud struck out nine and allowed one earned run in the victory.
Ganelle Ferguson pitched five no-hit innings and had three hits and two runs for the Seagulls, while Summer St. Louis went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

LISBON 12, CARRABEC 3: Erica Hill struck out 14 batters in the Greyhounds’ (1-0) win over the Cobras (0-1) in Lisbon.
Brook Norman had a triple and a double and drove in a run in for Lisbon, which bolted ahead with an eight-run third inning. Emily Libby, Sophie Maloy, Alivia Field and Marina Davis each hit a double, and Maria Levesque had two singles and two RBIs.
Shyanne Holms had two doubles for Carrabec. She also pitched and struck out eight while allowing only two walks.

LISBON 10, CARRABEC 0, 5 INNINGS: Mason Booker and Levi Tibbetts combined to throw a no-hitter as the Greyhounds (2-0) shut out the Cobras (0-3) in a five-inning Mountain Valley Conference tilt in Lisbon.
Booker pitched the first four innings, striking out eight and walking four. Tibbetts tossed the final frame, striking out three batters.
Tibbetts also went 3 for 3 at the plate, smacking a triple and collecting four RBIs. Hunter Brissette had a triple and a double while scoring three runs and driving in another, and Caleb Phillips — who caught all five innings — had two hits and one RBI of his own.
Luke Carey, Conner Peabody and Nate Caldwell combined to pitch for Carrabec, with Peabody and Carey splitting the catching duties. The three pitchers combined for five strikeouts.

MT. ARARAT 8, SKOWHEGAN 0: Gage Armstrong smacked a home run for the Eagles in a win over the River Hawks in Skowhegan.
Landen Chase had two hits, including a double, for Mt. Ararat (1-1).
Tyler Annis had two hits for Skowhegan, while Jackson Quinn added a double (1-4).

NOKOMIS 5, OCEANSIDE 2: Mason Hopkins collected two hits and two RBI as the Warriors (1-1) topped the Mariners (0-4) in Rockland.
Cody Chretien went the distance for Nokomis allowing three hits, walking two and striking out four.
Duncan Oakes-Nelson hit a two-run single for Oceanside.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 18, GARDINER 5: Caleb Waterman scored eight goals and three assists to power the Panthers (4-0) past the Tigers (1-3) at Yarmouth.
Brayden Warde had three goals. Wyatt Thomas added a goal and two assists.
Cole Brann scored two goals for Gardiner.

EDWARD LITTLE 8, MCI/NOKOMIS 1: Megan Lachance led the Red Eddies (2-2) with three goals in their win over MCI/Nokomis (0-2) in Auburn.
Stella Smith added two goals and Caroline Audette scored one in the win. Goalie Hailee Brown stopped seven shots in goal for Edward Little.
Edward Little also won the JV game between the teams, 10-0.
