BETHEL — An eight-run sixth inning by Hall-Dale helped secure a 12-0 win over Telstar in Mountain Valley Conference baseball action Friday.
Hall-Dale (1-0) scored first in the top-half of the first inning, followed by a run in the third and two in the fourth. Ben Nathan drove in three runs, while Kai Lucas notched two hits and scored three times. Keagan Bellerose pitched a complete-game shut out with seven strikeouts for the Bulldogs.
Telstar (1-1) had five batters notch a hit including pitcher Brody Walker. On the mound, Walker went 5 1/3 innings, giving up nine runs but only one earned. He also struck out nine batters.

LAWRENCE 4, OCEANSIDE 0: Hunter Lee struck out 11 while pitching a three-hitter, and Michael Hamlin drove in two runs with a sacrifice fly and a double as the Bulldogs won in Fairfield.
Gavin Wilson and Nate Griand each had an RBI for Lawrence (2-0).
Oceanside (0-2) pitcher Jacob Watkinson also went the distance, allowing six hits.

WINTHROP 16, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Freshmen Trent and Carter Collin combined for a one-hitter and eight strikeouts as the Ramblers earned a decisive Mountain Valley Conference win in Rumford.
Winthrop’s (1-1) offense bolstered Trent Collin (six strikeouts), the starter, with five runs in the first inning and five more in the second. Andrew Fay doubled twice and drove in four runs for the Ramblers, while Brayden Stubbert had three hits and Tyler Shumway, Logan Baird, Matthew Beck and Trent Collin each contributed two hits.
Tanner Henry had Mountain Valley’s (0-1) only hit.

MT. BLUE 10, HAMPDEN 9:Â The Cougars scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning to take home the win in Hampden.
Mt. Blue (1-0) jumped ahead quickly with a six-run first inning before Hampden countered with two runs in the bottom-half of the inning. Hampden added a run in the third inning, then in the sixth the Cougars scored three more times to take a 9-3 lead.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Hampden (1-1) tied it with six runs before Mt. Blue won it in the seventh. On the mound to close the game for the Cougars was Hayden Dippner who pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up just two hits and earning the win.

WATERVILLE 4, NOKOMIS 1: Joe Hamelin had three hits, including a double, to lead the Purple Panthers to a win over the Warriors in Newport.
Spencer Minihan and Gage Hubbard added doubles for Waterville (1-1). Wyatt Gradie earned the win on the mound.
Nokomis falls to 0-1.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 5, GARDINER 2: Grady Hotham smacked a double to help lead the Eagles to a win over the Tigers in South China.
Hotham also earned the win on the mound for the Eagles (1-0).
Gardiner falls to 0-1.

WINSLOW 18, ERSKINE 10: With the score tied at 10 in the top of the seventh inning, Emma Michaud belted a two-run single for what would be the winning runs for the Black Raiders in South China.
Michaud went 5-for-5 at the plate for Winslow while also picking up the win in the circle. Nevaeh Dupeliss, Leah Knight, Lacey Sillanpaa, Harly Pomerleau, Kate Nichols and Bella Morris were all repeat hitters for the Black Raiders.
Erskine was led by Kenzie Kutniewski with three hits while Mackenzie Toner, Bryana Barrett, Madison Lully and Hannah Huff each had multiple hits.

SKOWHEGAN 9, MESSALONSKEE 0: Jaycie Christopher had two singles and a double to lead the River Hawks to the win in Skowhegan.
Sierra Carey added a triple and a single while also picking up the win in the circle for Skowhegan (2-0) while Callaway LePage chipped in two singles.
Messalonskee was led by Jordan Lambert with a double.

HALL-DALE 16, TELSTAR 4: Jade Graham had a triple, a double and four RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Bethel.
Ashlynn Donahue added three singles, two RBIs and the pitching win for Hall-Dale (1-0). Sammy Thornton chipped in with two singles and three RBIs, Rita Benoit, Lexi Rideout and Emma Soule added two singles apiece.
Telstar falls to 0-1.

Winslow improves to 1-1.
