In regards to Susan M. Clarke’s March 25 letter, I would like to sympathize with her and her neighbors (“State DOT should help Rockland calm Route 1“).

I also live on a very busy “artery,” in Augusta. We are also concerned with the constant heavy, speeding and noisy traffic that comes down our street at all hours of the day and night. The noise and air pollution have taken over our neighborhood.

Our chief of police and a few of our councilors have taken action in our behalf and maybe this year we can see results to our traffic conditions that do not belong in our neighborhood.
