FARMINGTON — Two selectmen and two directors for Regional School Unit 9 are on the ballot for Monday, March 28.
Elections will be held 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Center on Middle Street.
Incumbent selectman Michael Fogg is seeking another three-year term. Dennis O’Neil is seeking the three-year term currently held by Joshua Bell. Bell is not seeking reelection.
Current RSU 9 Directors Doug Dunlap and Kirk Doyle are not seeking reelection. Alexander Creznic turned in nomination papers to run for one of the seats.
“I had an interest, served on town committees, there didn’t seem to be a lot of interest in getting on the board,” O’Neil said recently. “I felt I could be an asset to the board and the new town manager.”
Fogg feels it is an exciting time to be part of Farmington’s growth.
“With the happenings we’ve started to work on, the dam removal, High Street,” he said. “The influx of revenue the town will be receiving will help the town grow and I want to be part of it. I expect to see a lot of change and growth, we’ve started a lot of things and I would like to see them through.”
“I want to ensure that we have a responsive and effective school board that works for all of us, and the best way I can do that is to actively serve on it,” Creznic wrote in a text Thursday.
Town Meeting will be held 7 p.m. May 9 in the Mt. Blue High School gymnasium.
