Cristiano Ronaldo reached 800 career goals with a double that secured Manchester United a 3-2 victory against Arsenal in the Premier League on Thursday, as interim manager Ralf Rangnick saw his new team triumph from the stands.
Ronaldo scored the winner from the penalty spot after his first goal allowed him to reach 800 for his career, counting games for his club teams and Portugal.

GERMANY: German politicians agreed to slash the maximum attendance at outdoor sports events to 15,000 people, though some states still plan to have empty stadiums.
Rising infection rates in recent weeks and the emergence of the new omicron variant of the coronavirus caused concern ahead of the talks between the state and federal leaders.
The decision to play a Bundesliga soccer game in Cologne last week in front of a crowd of 50,000 provoked particular ire ahead of plans for 67,000 to attend Borussia Dortmund’s game against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Indoor sports such as basketball, handball and hockey will have a maximum attendance of 5,000 people.
