LEWISTON — Museum L-A, at at 35 Canal St., will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, following the annual veterans ceremony in Lewiston. Museum visitors will be able to see the veterans memorial board at the mill created by Bates Mfg. to honor its veteran employees who served in World War II. Other veteran memorabilia will be on display as well.
The museum’s “Our Working Waterway” gallery exhibit will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Peter Rubins, chairman of Grow L+A’s River Working Group, will be on hand to discuss the river’s past and current clean-up situation and bill LD676.
Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, and by appointment.
