SKOWHEGAN — Annabelle Morris scored two goals to lead the Skowhegan girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Edward Little on Thursday.
Allie Frey added a goal for Skowhegan (1-10-2). Reese Danforth had 10 saves to earn the shutout.
Hailee Brown had 19 saves for the Red Eddies (3-9-1).
TEMPLE ACADEMY 4, SEARSPORT 3: Ella Baker had two goals, including the game winner with six seconds remaining, to give the Bereans a victory over the Vikings on Wednesday.
Laura Sales Alonso added two goals for Temple.
Lily Nadeau and Laura Warman had goals for Searsport.
FIELD HOCKEY
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2, OAK HILL 1: Aubrey Kachnovich scored with 3:49 left to break a tie and send the Phoenix (6-5-2) past the Raiders (4-8-1) in Wales.
Ella Plourde assisted on the game-winning goal. Spruce Mountain opened the scoring on a Paris Howes goal assisted by Ryleigh Castonguay in the first quarter. Jayden Achorn made six saves in the win.
Mia Valliere tied the game in the second quarter on an unassisted goal. Sierra Lane stopped 13 shots in goal for Oak Hill.
TELSTAR 1, HALL-DALE 0: The Rebels (1-13) scored late in the game to take down the Bulldogs (3-8-2) in Bethel.
Telstar’s Maya Taylor scored with 3:31 left in regulation to give her team a 1-0 advantage and eventually the victory, the team’s first of the season. Leah Kimball passed the ball into the circle to Tasha Mason, who then found Taylor for the goal.
EB Hoff saved six shots for Telstar, while Hall-Dale’s Kelsey Cormier saved three.
SKOWHEGAN 4, MESSALONSKEE 1: Layla Conway scored two goals and the River Hawks broke open a close game to prevail in a Wednesday night game in Oakland.
Gemma Kennedy and Samantha Thebarge also scored for Skowhegan, which led 2-1 at the half.
Isabel Culver scored for the Eagles.
BOYS SOCCER
BUCKFIELD 3, WINTHROP 1: Zach Shield, Hunter Driscoll and Seamus Keoug each scored a goal in the second half to lead Buckfield (4-5-1) to a 3-1 victory over Winthrop (5-7) in boys soccer on Thursday.
Trevin Albert and Seamus Keough each collected assists for the Bucks. Winthrop’s loan goal came from Iker Penniman on a Tyler Shumway assist.
Goalies Gavin Charest and Jaxon August each made six assists.
