What do you want to know about Question 1?Â
According to advertisements from different parties across the state, Question 1 — the ballot question for Maine’s Nov. 2 election concerning the New England Connect Energy Corridor — is about a number of different things: the future of a powerline, public opinion about Central Maine Power, whether or not the Legislature should vote on such projects, and more. The Morning Sentinel and the Kennebec Journal are partnering with the Sun Journal and the Portland Press Herald to host a forum on Monday, Oct. 18, aimed at answering the public’s questions about Question 1 with just the facts, and nothing more.
Ahead of the Nov. 2 election, we want to know: what lingering questions do you have about Question 1? What things do you need to know in order to enter the booth feeling confident in your chosen vote?
Tell us in the comments below and we’ll answer the questions in the session, for which you can register here.
