HINCKLEY — To celebrate National Thrive Outside Day on Saturday, Oct. 9, the museum encourages families and friends to visit the trails.
A 10 a.m. program is scheduled to include providing Leaf Kits for children to use as they explore the forested trails on Route 201.
The National Thrive Outside program is part of a nationwide group of networks and collaborations working to make the outdoors accessible and equitable for all people.
Trail brochures with maps are available in a box at the trail head behind the museum. These also tell the stories of the historic monuments and entrances along the trails.
G. W. Hinckley, the founder of Good Will, developed the trails, summer camping and hiking trips for the children at Good Will, which National Thrive Outside Day reflects.
