AUGUSTA — Three different players scored as the Gardiner boys soccer team handed Erskine its first loss of the season with a 3-2 win at the University of Maine at Augusta on Tuesday.
Patrick Mansir, Aiden Paradis and Cam Lasselle each scored a goal for the Tigers (7-2-1). Cam Rizzo and Braden Dorogi had an assist apiece. Sean Doyle made three saves.
Liam Perfetto scored both goals for Erskine (8-1-1) while Timber Parlin stopped four shots.
HAMPDEN 3, WATERVILLE 1: Collin Scobie had a goal and two assists to pace the Broncos to the win in Hampden.
Tristan Downer and Amblen Isenhour had the other goals for Hampden while Cooper Moran made two saves.
Jaden Grazulis had an unassisted goal for Waterville (3-7-1) and Aiden Tavares made 11 saves.
VALLEY 2, RANGELEY 1: Anthony Whittier scored off an assist from Chase Carmichael in the second half to cut the deficit in half, but it wasn’t enough as the host Lakers (3-4-1) fell to the Cavaliers (2-6) in Rangeley.
Rangeley outshot Valley 32-14, but “the goals just didn’t go our way tonight,” Rangeley coach Rowenna Hathaway said.
GIRLS SOCCER
CONY 3, LAWRENCE 2: Andrea Richardson scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Cony past Lawrence 3-2 in girls soccer action Tuesday.
Torrie Webber scored the other two goals for Cony (3-6-0) while Gabby Tibbetts added two assists. Kylee Huard made 10 saves.
Emily Rhoads and Zoie Ward scored for Lawrence (0-9-0) and Kara Butler and Jaylin Woods had an assist each.
OAK HILL 3, BUCKFIELD 2: Gabrielle Chessie scored a pair of goals in the second half to help push the Raiders (6-0) past the Bucks (5-4-1) in Buckfield.
Jasmyne Strout also scored for Oak Hill, which was tied 0-0 at halftime, and Amara Denis had an assist. Paige Gonya made six saves in the shutout.
Ruby Cyr stopped 12 shots for Buckfield.
ERSKINE 5, GARDINER 0: Riley Rochelle and Gabriella Sasse each scored two goals to lead the Eagles to a win over the Tigers in South China.
Paige Sutter added a goal for Erskine (4-2-1).
Gardiner falls to 2-4-0.
MT. ARARAT 2, SKOWHEGAN 0: Brooklyn Choate and Ella Bergeron scored as the Eagles (5-1-1) beat the River Hawks (0-6-1) in Skowhegan.
Morgan Duff had two saves for Mt. Ararat, while Reese Danforth had five saves for Skowhegan.
FIELD HOCKEY
MOUNT VIEW 5, ERSKINe 0: Alexa Coffin scored all five goals to lead the Mustangs to the win in South China.
Ella Sawyer stopped five shots for Mount View (3-5) while Leah Bonner made eight saves for Erskine (1-8).
