I am a nurse at MaineGeneral currently; I have worked here for going on six years. This vaccine mandate in place by our government absolutely terrifies me.

Here’s why: Our patients deserve better. Going into work and being short-staffed is sadly something that is not uncommon in the medical field, but it’s not safe. By getting rid of trained and qualified medical professionals, the nurse-to-patient ratios are bound to rise. Patients deserve staff that is not overworked and burned out. Our patients deserve the best.
