SKOWHEGAN — Three people have been arrested after police executed a search warrant early Friday morning and say they found several different illegal substances in two apartments.
Skowhegan police Chief David Bucknam said in a news release that the police department worked with Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Maine State Police tactical team to execute two separate search warrants around 1 a.m. Bucknam said that the two warrants were executed simultaneously at apartments 1 and 4 at 116 Madison Ave.
Following the search, officers and agents located fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin and crack cocaine. Bucknam did not have information available on how much of each substance was located during the search.
Three Skowhegan residents are facing charges following the search on Friday morning.
• Mike Mederios, 36, charged with six counts in aggravated trafficking of scheduled W drugs.
• Micris Godfrey, 36, charged with four counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs.
• Mariah Cyr, 26, charged with two counts of violating conditions of release and aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs.
“These search warrants stemmed from an ongoing investigation by Maine Drug Enforcement agents,” Bucknam said. “With the assistance of the tactical team, the apartments were quickly and safely secured with no injuries.
Mederios, Godfrey and Cyr were taken to the Somerset County Jail in East Madison. Bucknam said authorities are still investigating the case further.
