MONMOUTH – Matt Marquis had four hits, including a double, to lead the Monmouth Academy baseball team to an 18-9 win over Maranacook in a Class C South quarterfinal game on Thursday.
Hayden Fletcher had two doubles for the Mustangs, while Manny Calder had three hits.
Tyler Hreben, Wyatt Lambert and Alex Trafton each had two hits for the Black Bears.

RICHMOND 20, FOREST HILLS 2, 5 innings: The Bobcats scored 12 runs in the first inning and never looked back on their way to the Class D South quarterfinal victory.
Hunter Mason had a double and two singles for Richmond while Andrew Vashon had three singles. Chance Taylor and Connor Vachon had a double and a single each and Max Viscelli added two singles.

MT. ABRAM 2, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Hunter Warren pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts for the third-seeded Roadrunners (14-3) in a Class C South quarterfinal win against the No. 6 Hawks (12-6) in Salem.
Warren also had an RBI.

LEWISTON 16, CONY 6:Â Damon Bossie drove in seven Blue Devils in a Class A North quarterfinal game against the seventh-seeded Rams in Lewiston.
Bossie had three hits including a triple for the No. 2 Blue Devils (14-3). Joe Murphy pounded two triples and drove home four runs. Cooper St. Hilaire collected two singles.
Kyle Douin paced Cony (8-9) with two hits including a triple and two RBIs. Issac Gammon also had two hits and two runs scored.

MADISON 3, TELSTAR 0:Â Brooke McKenney had a home run and earned the win in the circle as the Bulldogs prevailed in a Class C South quarterfinal.
Landyn Landry had two doubles for the Bulldogs (14-1), while Jersey Tewksbury added a double.
The Rebels finish the season with a 6-5 record.

FRYEBURG 7, GARDINER 1: The Raiders’ five-run fourth inning was the difference in a victory over the Tigers in Fryeburg.
Morgan Fusco and Katy McIntyre hit back-to-back doubles to spark Fryeburg in the fourth, with Ela Bruno adding an RBI single. Bruno and McIntyre each knocked in another runner in the fifth. Emilia Descantis picked up the win, striking out six.
Fryeburg will play No. 5 Gray-New Gloucester in a B South semifinal Saturday.

WINSLOW 6, OLD TOWN 4: The Black Raiders scored three runs in the sixth inning to rally for the win in Class B North quarterfinal action.
Karlie Ramsdell had three singles for Winslow while Jenna Libby and Harly Pomerleau had two singles apiece.
Hannah Sirois led Old Town with three singles.

SKOWHEGAN 12, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Sierra Carey drove in two runs in the first inning and that was all the run support the River Hawks (16-1) starting pitcher needed in a Class A North quarterfinal win over the Red Eddies (7-10) at Skowhegan.
Carey and Kiara Warren, who pitched from the sixth inning on, combined to scatter seven hits and strike out five for second-seeded Skowhegan. Maddy Morris collected two hits and three RBIs.
Maddie Emmert had two hits for 10th-seeded Edward Little, which scored its lone run in the top of the second inning.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, WINSLOW 5: Fryeburg Academy (7-6) advanced to a C North quarterfinal against No. 1 Waynflete with a win over Winslow (6-6) in Fryeburg.
Myles Garland and Rohan Hikel each scored a hat trick for Fryeburg.
Obin Burgette made seven saves for Winslow.

NYA 16, ERSKINE 2: Christopher Hamblett scored six goals and an assist for the No. 4 Panthers (8-5) as they cruised past No. 13 Erskine in a Class C opening-round game at Yarmouth.
Brayden Warde added three goals and two assists, while Caleb Waterman had a goal and five assists. Chas Rohde and James Tourigny each added a goal and two assists. Mason Bull, David Gall, Henry Bergeron and Luke Lathrop also scored.
The Panthers will host fifth-seeded Gray-New Gloucester in the quarterfinals Saturday.

ST. DOMINIC 24, ERSKINE 7: Taryn Cloutier and Natalie Brocke each had five foals in the Saints (6-7) Class C playoff opener against the Eagles (4-9) in Auburn.
Jess Zimmerman scored four goals for the No. 8 St. Dom’s while Emma Roy and Emily Wallingford each scored three times. Bella Pelletier scored twice while Autumn Clark and Gigi Ouellette scored a goal each.
Georgian Davidson made five saves for the Saints.
Sarah Paul led Erskine with five goals and a goal from Isabella Smith and Grace Hutchins.
