SOUTH CHINA — Averi Baker and Lilly Diversi each had a hat trick as Gardiner defeated Erskine 10-7 in girls lacrosse action Wednesday.

Natalie Fossett added two goals for Gardiner (4-3) while Emma Bourget and Sophie Blanchard had one apiece. Lizzy Gruber made six saves.

Sarah Praul had a game-high five goals for Erskine (4-7)  while Isabella Boudreaux and Reese Sullivan had one each. Annaliese Patterson stopped 17 shots.

 

 

CONY 18, BANGOR 5: Kiara Henry scored five goals to pace Cony in Bangor.

Azabell Assas and Sierra Clark each had a hat trick for Cony (7-5) while Andrea Richardson and Sierra Prebit scored two goals apiece. Dinah Wadleigh, Maci Freeman and Raegan Bouchard rounded out the scoring with goals. Madison Chavarre made four saves.

Laila Martinez had a hat trick for Bangor (3-8) while Sarah Doore made 11 saves.

 

LAWRENCE 19, MT. BLUE 4: Holly Bolduc scored seven goals and Kaylyn Bourque added three to lead the Bulldogs in Farmington.

Ally Higgins and Emma Poulin each scored two goals for Lawrence as well.

Ella Stone scored for the Cougars.

SOFTBALL

 

LAWRENCE 15, ERSKINE 3, 5 innings: The Bulldogs scored 11 runs in the third inning on their way to the victory in Fairfield.

Taylor Wilkie and Sage Reed both tripled for Lawrence (11-4). Kaylee Elkins finished with three singles while Jazmin Johnson and Sarah Poli each had a double and a single.

Erskine fell to 5-11.

ST. DOMINIC 5, RICHMOND 3: Winning pitcher Kathleen Dean chipped in with an RBI single as the Saints prevailed in Richmond.

Bella Perryman also hit an RBI single and Alyssa Hart had a triple for St. Dom’s.

The Saints improved to 4-9 while Richmond dropped to 3-5.

 

VALLEY 13, TEMPLE 1, 5 innings: Emily Collins, Jada Ward and Brielle Hill each had two hits to spark the Cavaliers to the win in Bingham.

Logan McDonald added a triple for Valley (10-0).

 

BASEBALL

LEAVITT 1, MARANACOOK 0: Hornets starting pitcher Garrett Mollica gave up three hits and struck out six in his complete-game shutout over Maranacook in Turner.

The Hornets finally broke through in the sixth inning against Maranacook’s Nick Florek, who struck out seven.

 

LAWRENCE 2, ERSKINE 0: Zach Nickerson tossed a complete game, allowing only three hits and striking out nine to lead the Bulldogs in a KVAC matchup in Fairfield.

Andrew Trombley and Ryan Bourque drove in the runs for Lawrence (11-5), while Nickerson, Nate Grard, Hunter Lee and Matt Trombley had hits.

Colby Lloyd, Grady Hotham and Nick Barber had hits for the Eagles (9-7). Hotham started and struck out eight in six innings.
