For a wonderful hour on a recent Tuesday night, Sandhill had no power. Oh, how I wish it had not been restored so fast.
The street lights and building spotlights not being on allowed a somewhat natural backyard feeling to descend on Sandhill, one where neighbors gathered around burn pits and drank their beverages as the sun disappeared.
Sadly the power came back on and the flames went back out and the unhealthy blue glow of the city’s lights covered Augusta once more.
