The Portland Symphony Orchestra will soon find its way to the silver screen at the Saco Drive-In for an evening of filmed performances on Thursday, May 13. This is part of this year’s annual fundraiser Forte, which also includes a special online auction from Tuesday, May 11, through Thursday, May 20. All proceeds from the benefit will support the PSO musicians, education programs and future performances.
Options for attending the digital concert presentation on Thursday include the opportunity to purchase a car pass to attend in person for $50, or a single ticket to attend virtually for $15. If a group of five cars attends together, the group will receive a special pre-concert performance by PSO musicians.
The evening will feature exclusive new, professionally-filmed performances from PSO musicians as well as highlights from the 2020-21 season.
The online auction offerings include a virtual training/nutrition session with Lee Nelson, a private goat hike, a year’s supply of ice cream, a studio tour of News Center Maine from Cindy Williams, and a chance to play a round of ping pong with PSO’s Music Director Eckart Preu.
