A Fairfield woman will serve 32 months in prison for conspiring to distribute fentanyl and cocaine base.

Stephanie Pelletier, 29, was sentenced Thursday in federal court for conspiring to distribute and to possession with intent to distribute the controlled substances, Acting U.S. Attorney Donald E. Clark announced in a news release.

U.S. District Court Judge Lance E. Walker sentenced Pelletier to 32 months followed by three years of supervised release. She pleaded guilty in October 2020,  the release says.

“According to court records, between September 1, 2018, and March 3, 2019, Pelletier participated in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and cocaine base,” it says. “She obtained the narcotics from out-of-state suppliers and distributed them for sale in central Maine.”

The Waterville Police Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case, according to the release.
