The Union Fair Society will sponsor the fourth annual Union Fairground Car Show on Saturday, May 18, at the fairground off Maine Route 17 in Union. A rain date is set for Sunday, May 19.
Registration is open from 8 to 10 a.m. , the spectator gates will open at 10 a.m., with awards starting at 1 p.m.
This year 15 classes will be offered to interest just about every vehicle enthusiast – cars, trucks, motorcycles, special vehicles, and even tractors. Winners in each class also are eligible to win Best of Show.
Trophies will be award in all categories, plus $100 cash will be awarded for Best of Show. Touch-A-Truck and other exhibits for the children of all ages will be at the fairgrounds, with music and food.
Registration to show a vehicle (or buy space to sell parts) will cost $10 and includes the vehicle and driver. Individuals showing can also sell at no additional cost.
Spectator tickets for those 12 and older will cost $5, children younger than 12 are admitted for free.
Ticket sales will benefit agriculture education. Medomak Valley High School student organizations will sell food and drinks.
