AUGUSTA — Alex Higgins scored five goals and registered two assists, leading Lawrence to a see-saw 16-15 win over host Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference boys lacrosse game Thursday.
Logan Fortin had three goals for Lawrence, while Adrian O’Connell had two goals and an assist. Gabe York made 17 saves for the Bulldogs.
Cony was led by Nic Mills, who scored four goals. Miquieas Biaszuz added three goals and three assists for the Rams. Kamryn Horton stopped eight shots for Cony.
WINSLOW 13, LINCOLN 12: Jared Lambert scored five goals and assisted on another as the Black Raiders earned the KVAC win in Newcastle.
Colby Nadeau and Isaac Lambrecht each registered hat tricks for Winslow (2-3), and Alex Demers made 12 saves in goal. Kyle Gurney also netted a goal for the Raiders.
For Lincoln (1-2), Liam Cullina and Nolen Michael each scored three goals.
GIRLS LACROSSE
GARDINER 10, LINCOLN 7: Madelin Walker had five goals and an assist to lead the Tigers to the KVAC win in Newcastle.
Mickaela Gardner and Scarlett Raymond-Ayer added two goals apiece for Gardiner (1-1) while Anna Chadwick had one. Skye Cotnoir made 13 saves.
Ellie Mathews led Lincoln (0-3) with four goals while Alex Fabiano added two and Camden LeBel had one.
SOFTBALL
VALLEY 22, FOREST HILLS 1: Cylee Pratt drove in four runs to help the Cavaliers take the East/West Conference win in Bingham.
Kendra Sweet had three hits, including a triple, for Valley (1-0). Jillian Miller drove in four runs for the Cavaliers and scored three runs.
Sarah Hoyt had two hits for Forest Hills (0-3).
