PechaKucha Night Waterville Volume 31 is scheduled to begin at 6:20 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Ostrove Auditorium in the Diamond Building at Colby College, 4000 Mayflower Hill Drive, in Waterville, according to a news release from Waterville Creates!
The evening will begin with a reception and lead into presentations at 7:20 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Mike Duguay, executive director of the Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation at Thomas College, will be the emcee for the evening.
Volume 31 will share stories from community members. The presenters and their topics are:
• Bets Brown — Missing Some Friends;
• Jon Byrer — Liquid Visions;
• Isabel Colon — Strangers;
• Joe Dye — An Account of Doodling;
• Dwight Gagnon — Everything Eats Alewives;
• Barbara Joseph — In The Ditch — Magic and Wonder;
• Bridget Matros — Don’t Build The Box; and
• Eliza Perry — MPAMILA Talks WORLD Listens.
PK WTVL is Waterville’s connection to a global storytelling network of creative people sharing their creative muse in 20×20 (20 images showing for 20 seconds each). Over the years, PK WTVL has brought thousands of area residents together in celebration of passions, stories and creativity.
All are invited to this free event, though a $5 donation is suggested.
