SKOWHEGAN — Marcus Christopher scored 12 points and Jimy Reed added 10 as the Skowhegan boys basketball team sank Lawrence 41-37 to close in on a berth in the Class A North tournament.

The Indians (8-10) entered the game trying to fend off Brewer for the eighth and final spot.

Nick robertson scored 15 points to lead Lawrence (10-8).

 

MARANACOOK 87, WATERVILLE 54:

Cash McClure scored a game-high 21 points to lead four Black Bears in double figures in a KVAC win in Readfield.

Mitch Root added 19 points for Maranacook (16-2) while Jarred Schmidt added 15 and Duncan Rogers 12.

Waterville (4-14) was led by Jack Lloyd with 16 points and David Barre with 12.

 

WINSLOW 58, MCI 39: Silver Clukey scored 16 points to pace the Black Raiders to the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.

Paige Trask added 14 points for Winslow (12-6) while Bodhi Littlefield chipped in nine points, four assists and three steals.

MCI (9-9) was led by Sydney Farrar and Sara Linkletter with 11 points each.

GARDINER 45, LINCOLN ACADEMY 31: Bailey poore posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Tigers rolled.

Jaycie Stevens scored 15 points and Aimee Adams grabbed 12 rebounds for the Tigers (12-6).

 

MESSALONSKEE 50, CONY 25: Gabrielle Wener led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points and Kaitlin Seeks added seven points as the Eagles (10-8) rolled in Oakland.

Sierra Prebit scored eight points to lead Cony (2-16).
