AUGUSTA — Maine Job Corps will begin several training programs in August.

The no-cost training program is for young women and men 16 to 24 years old. Career opportunities include heavy truck driving, health care, culinary arts, construction, electrical and auto mechanics. Those who participate can also get a high school diploma or HSE and a driver’s license at the same time. The program allows individuals to pursue career goals, while earning wages, receiving room and board and more. Free job placement will be offered upon completion.

For more information or to set up orientation, tours and interviews, call Cathie Gavett, Maine Job Corps admissions counselor, at 621-2350.
