Teen Challenge Maine staff and residents will talk about their recovery program during the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber’s Thursday, June 7, breakfast. The event will take place from 715 to 8:30 a.m. in the Winthrop Commerce Center Community Room, 16 Commerce Plaza, Winthrop; public welcome.
In 2007, Teen Challenge Maine was established in Winthrop to help young men and at-risk youth addicted to drugs and alcohol. The faith-based recovery program empowers transformation for addicted men — 18 years and older — through spiritual, academic, and vocational training.
Located at 11 Hudson Lane on a 486-acre campus, Teen Challenge Maine offers a residential recovery program on its working farm that is operated by the residents.
Part of Teen Challenge New England & New Jersey, Teen Challenge Maine is supported by individuals, churches, businesses and foundations.
The cost is $7 for members; $10 for all others.
