Ray “Butch” Joslyn, who served in the U.S. Navy Intelligence during the Vietnam War, will speak at the Whitefield Historical Society’s annual Memorial Day Program set for 10 a.m. Monday, May 28, at the Whitefield Town House, 632 Townhouse Road.

A flag raising ceremony, a pledge of allegiance to the flag and a singing of the national anthem will take place outside at the Veteran’s Memorial. Following those ceremonies, all will be invited inside to hear stories by Joslyn. Refreshments will be served after the program.

In the past few years, the Whitefield Historical Society has remembered many of our country’s past wars, including the Civil War and the Second World War.
