Police are looking for two men driving four-wheel all-terrain vehicles who allegedly stabbed another man on an ATV trail in Standish on Wednesday morning.
Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office were called to the area of 7 Colby Drive just before noon after a man was found lying in the road with a possible stab wound. The victim, a 25-year-old Standish man, sustained superficial cuts during an assault, police said.
The man told deputies he had been assaulted by two unknown men on four-wheelers while he was walking along an ATV trail off Colby Drive. He was treated at the scene by Standish EMS personnel.
The first suspect is described by police as a white male between 30 and 40 years old who was driving a brown four-wheeler. The man is about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, has a dragon tattoo on his left forearm and had a brown bandana covering his face.
The second suspect is a white man who was driving a green four-wheeler. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt, dark jeans and work boots.
There is no indication there is any danger to the general public, according to police.
The identity of the victim is not being released by police because of the ongoing investigation.
