WINSLOW — Sarah Stevens scored four goals to lead the Winslow girls lacrosse team to a 12-6 win over Deering on Saturday.
Silver Clukey added a hat trick for Winslow (4-0) while Hailey Grenier chipped in two goals and Taylor Rodriguez, Savannah Joler and Cassie McCaslin had one apiece. Carrie Selwood made seven saves.
Deering falls to 3-3.
BASEBALL
RICHMOND 25, FOREST HILLS 2, 5 innings: Ben Gardiner had a home run and four RBIs to lead the Bobcats to a victory over the Tigers in Buckfield.
Andrew Vachon had two doubles for Richmond (7-0), while Zach Small, Nate Kendrick, Tristan Shea, Kyle Tilton and Cilas Logan added doubles for the Bobcats. Vachon earned the win on the mound for Richmond.
Forest Hills falls to 3-4.
OCEANSIDE 11, ERSKINE 4: Nick Barber had a double and three singles for the Eagles, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Mariners in South China.
Erskine falls to 4-6.
Yuriah Thongsophaphone had three singles for Oceanside (8-2), while Titus Kaewthong had two doubles an a single.
SOFTBALL
OCEANSIDE 24, ERSKINE 1, 6 innings: The Mariners scored 12 runs in the sixth inning on their way to a KVAC B win in South China.
Chloe Jones had a double and a triple to lead Oceanside (8-2).
Erskine falls to 2-8.
NOKOMIS 15-14, PRESQUE ISLE 3-2: The Warriors scored 29 runs on 21 hits to sweep a doubleheader in Newport.
Maci Leali had a big day at the plate with a home run and a triple for Nokomis (7-4). Aren Herrick added a triple and a double while Austin Leighton had two doubles.
Presque Isle falls to 2-6.
