Farmingdale Spirit of America and the Farmingdale Historical Society recently held at the Town Office on Maine Avenue.

Two people were awarded the Boston Post Cane as the town’s oldest residents and received plaques and framed certificates. They are Donald Dupont, 96, and posthumously Richard S. Choate.

Four residents were honored for their community service and were awarded framed certificates and gifts. They are Bud (Loring) Smith, Andy (Walter) Hendrickson, Connor Barry and Sandra Choate.
