Residents of Westbrook will soon have two new places to grab a burger.
Blazes Burgers, located at 652 Main St., held its grand opening Tuesday. Legends Rest Taproom, which will serve elevated pub fare including hamburgers, chicken wings and housemade tater tots, is scheduled to open at 855 Main St. sometime next week, according to co-owner Tom Minervino.
Blazes serves mostly burgers, but there’s also a chicken sandwich, grilled cheese and chicken fingers on the menu.
Legends Rest, which will have 35 seats, is located behind Big Fin Poke and overlooks the river. The owners are Minervino and his sister Meg, along with Mike Barton, a family friend. The Minervino family also owns Tomaso’s Canteen on Hampshire Street in Portland.
Minervino said they plan to have “a really good beer list, mostly local stuff.” The chef is Matt Burns, who has worked at Nonesuch River Brewing in Scarborough and the former Zapoteca restaurant in Portland.
Legends Rest will be open daily from lunch to late night, Minervino said, closing at 1 a.m.
