Organic farmer, small business owner, chef, poet, author, and Rep. Craig Hickman, District 81, will talk about his role in Maine Legislature during the May 3 Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
The breakfast will be held from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Winthrop Commerce Center Community Room, 16 Commerce Plaza, Winthrop.
The Winthrop Commerce Café and Crostini’s Catering serve a light breakfast; gluten-free, vegetarian, and heart-healthy options always available.
Hickman, who represents Monmouth, Readfield and Winthrop, is serving his third term in the 128th Legislature, where he is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs and the Joint Select Committee on Marijuana Legalization Implementation. He previously served as House chairman of the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, where he championed food sovereignty, food security and other efforts to protect Maine’s small family farms and promote rural economic development.
Cost is $7 for members; $10 all others.
