HINCKLEY — The first Agricultural Labor Field Day will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Alfond Recreational Center, KVCC Hinckley Campus, 16 Prescott Drive.

The free event is sponored by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Maine Department of Labor and Kennebec Valley Community Colleg.

The event can connect those interested in professional and academic agricultural careers with local jobs and/or KVCC’s undergraduate programming in a variety of agriculture fields, including sustainable agriculture, culinary arts and business administration. Workforce training and professional development staff from KVCC and MDOL will be on-site to review resumes and offer job searching advice. Attendees also can tour KVCC’s 120-acre farm which demonstrates organic crop production and sustainable livestock.
