The state medical examiner was performing an autopsy Monday on a 61-year-old woman whose body was found in a pond in Lisbon late Sunday afternoon.
Lisbon police said they were alerted about the body by the owner of the property where the pond is located, which is off Potter Road. He had pulled the woman’s body from the water.
The Lisbon woman’s name is being withheld while family members are notified, Police Chief Marc Hagan said Monday.
Hagan said Maine game wardens and state police are helping with the investigation.
