LEWISTON — The annual Maine Innovation Expo is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Bates Mill Complex, 35 Canal St., in Lewiston.
This fun-filled day hosted by Museum L-A will celebrate all things innovative and inventive. More than 50 exhibitors from across the state will gather to provide hands-on exploration, learning and play for all ages.
The expo shows that anyone can be an innovator by providing the inspiration and resources for attendees who want to try something new or even take the next step in their education and career. Exhibitors include businesses, schools, artists, youth groups, entrepreneurs and organizations doing remarkable work in Maine.
The Expo schedule is filling up with two high-tech comedy shows by AudioBody, shadow puppetry by Inventing Trees, and Optical Juggling by Michael Menes. The Maine Drone Society will lead indoor and outdoor drone races for spectators throughout the day.
Students from the local Green Ladle culinary arts program will sell lunch at the event.
