Temple Beth El in Augusta joined Jews around the world celebrating the Passover on Saturday evening. The observance featured references to current refugees around the world. The Passover Seder is a ritual feast that marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover. Before dinner it traditionally has songs, stories along with drinking wine and eating special foods that are part of retelling of the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt that is told in the biblical Book of Exodus. This year’s observance featured an emoji version of the story of Moses leading the Isrealites out of Egypt.
