The University of Maine Singers, a 60-voice choral ensemble under the direction of Francis John Vogt, will be on its annual spring tour from March 13 to March 16. They will travel throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, with performances each day at high school assemblies as well as choral workshops with high school singers.

Concerts begin at 7 p.m. The first concert is set for Tuesday, March 13, in Trask Auditorium at Waterville Senior High School, 1 Brooklyn Ave., in Waterville. The next concert is planned for Wednesday, March 14, in McCormack Performing Arts Center at Gorham High School, 41 Morrill Ave., in Gorham. The final is set for Thursday, March 15, at First United Methodist Church, 21 Buell St., in Burlington, Vermont. All performances are free and open to the public.

The repertoire for this year’s tour concerts will include Latin motets from the 16th and 21st centuries, excerpts from Mozart’s Grand Mass in C minor, and the extended work for choir and piano “Come to the Woods” by contemporary composer Jake Runestad. The university’s premier a cappella groups, The Maine Steiners and Renaissance, will also perform.
